#CycloneChaosInBarbados: Indian Team Stuck in Hotel Rooms

After winning the T20 World Cup, Team India faces new challenges as a cyclone wreaks havoc in Barbados. The cyclone has caused power and water supply disruptions, and airports have been shut down, leaving the team stranded. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to rescue the team. Reports suggest that Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary, is arranging for a chartered flight to bring the team back to India.

How BCCI Plans to Rescue Team India

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah mentioned that they are planning to safely evacuate the players and Indian media representatives. BCCI attempted to charter a flight for Monday, but the airport closure disrupted these plans. The board is in touch with charter flight companies and plans to fly the team to either the USA or Europe as soon as the Barbados airport reopens.

Leaving Barbados on Tuesday also seems difficult due to the ongoing cyclone. BCCI remains in contact with airport authorities and will act swiftly once the airport is operational. The plan is to first fly the team to the USA or Europe before heading back to India. Jay Shah emphasized that this will only be possible when wind speeds decrease, stating that waiting for the right moment is the best approach as no one wants to battle nature.
