🌧️ Cyclone Alert Powerful Storm Brewing in Bay of Bengal! 🌪️

The low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal has intensified and is on the verge of turning into a severe cyclone, named "Remal." The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that this system is expected to develop into a cyclonic storm by this evening. Despite its intensity, Andhra Pradesh will remain unaffected, as the cyclone is likely to hit the coasts between Bengal and Bangladesh around midnight on May 26th.

As the storm approaches land, it is predicted to bring winds blowing at speeds of 90 to 110 kilometers per hour. The northeastern states, including northern Odisha, Bengal, Mizoram, Tripura, and Manipur, are expected to experience heavy rainfall due to the storm. The IMD has issued a stern warning to fishermen to avoid venturing into the sea, as the central Bay of Bengal is likely to experience significant turbulence.

Dr. Sunanda, a weather officer from Visakhapatnam, stated that all ports have been alerted with danger warnings. She assured that Andhra Pradesh would not face the cyclone's impact, but emphasized that high temperatures would persist in the state. The advancing southwest monsoon winds are moving rapidly due to the cyclone, extending as far as Sri Lanka.
