A video from Nagpur's Tehsil Police Station has gone viral, showing four police officers dancing to the popular Bollywood song "Khaike Paan Banaraswala." The officers involved are ASI Sanjay Patankar, Head Constable Abdul Khayyum Ghani, Bhagyashree Giri, and Constable Nirmala Gavli. This impromptu dance took place after Independence Day celebrations on August 15th and was recorded by one of the officers.
When the video was uploaded to social media, it received mixed reactions. While some defended the officers, others criticized them for their actions. The video eventually caught the attention of higher authorities, leading to disciplinary action. Zone-3 In-Charge DCP Rahul Madane suspended the four officers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the dignity of the uniform. He warned against repeated incidents that could tarnish the police force's reputation.
The incident has since gone viral, sparking debates about the balance between duty and personal expression in uniform.
