Congress Releases New List of Candidates for 2024 Lok Sabha Polls!

As the 2024 Lok Sabha elections draw closer, the Congress party on Sunday (April 21) released another list of candidates, sparking discussions and speculations. Among the newly announced, Andhra Pradesh sees 9 representatives, and Jharkhand, two. Noteworthy candidates from Andhra Pradesh include Janga Gautam from Amalapuram and Golu Krishna from Machilipatnam. For Jharkhand, Pradeep Yadav has replaced Deepika Singh Pandey from the Godda constituency.

The list also highlights candidates like Pedada Parameshwar Rao from Srikakulam and Valluru Bhargav from Vijayawada. This strategic selection reflects Congress's intent to strengthen its position across crucial constituencies in these states. Meanwhile, BJP has placed Nishikant Dubey from the same constituency in Godda, Jharkhand, signaling a likely heated contest.

The entire state of Andhra Pradesh, which has a total of 25 Lok Sabha seats, is gearing up for the elections. Congress had earlier released names for six Lok Sabha and 12 assembly seats in the region. The polling in Andhra Pradesh and neighboring Telangana is scheduled for May 13, setting the stage for a significant electoral showdown.
