From June 1st, many rules affecting our daily lives are changing, including gas usage, bank holidays, Aadhaar updates, and driving licenses. Let’s check out these changes so you can plan ahead and avoid any hassles.
Major Changes:
Driving License Issuance:
No more long queues at RTO offices. Private driving training schools will now issue driving licenses. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways announced this change recently.
Government Vehicles Scrapping:
To reduce pollution, around 9 lakh government vehicles will be phased out and scrapped.
Traffic Violations Penalties:
Speeding fines will range from ₹1,000 to ₹2,000.
If a minor is caught driving, the fine is ₹25,000, and the vehicle owner’s registration card will be cancelled. Additionally, the minor cannot get a driving license until they are 25 years old.
LPG Cylinder Prices:
Gas companies will revise LPG cylinder prices. Commercial LPG prices dropped in May and are expected to decrease further in June.
Fuel Prices:
Petrol and diesel prices might be revised daily from June 1st.
