Big Budget, Small Collections, TV Premiere Before OTT

🎬 Some movies with huge expectations end up being major flops. One such movie is ‘Ganapath’. Released in October last year with a star-studded cast, including Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, this movie turned out to be an ultra-disaster.

A Dystopian Action Movie: 'Ganapath' is set in the future year of 2070. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie follows the story of Ganapath (Tiger Shroff), a savior fighting against villains to protect the people. Despite an intriguing trailer and high curiosity, the movie bombed at the box office.

Disastrous Collections: Made with a whopping budget of ₹190 crores, 'Ganapath' couldn’t even collect ₹15 crores in its full run, barely making around ₹13 crores. This movie was produced by Vikas Bahl, Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh under the banners of Good Co. and Pooja Entertainment.

No OTT Release Yet: Netflix secured the digital streaming rights for 'Ganapath', planning to stream it eight weeks after its theatrical release. However, even after seven months, the movie hasn’t made it to OTT.

TV Premiere Before OTT: Interestingly, 'Ganapath' was aired on TV before hitting OTT. It was telecasted on Sony Max on May 26th, a rare occurrence these days.

Star Cast and Reviews: The movie featured Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, Amitabh Bachchan, Elli AvrRam, Rahman, Girish Kulkarni, and Shruti Menon. Directed by Vikas Bahl, 'Ganapath' failed to impress the audience, receiving negative reviews, especially for its poor graphics. Despite five music directors working on it, the movie did not strike a chord with viewers.

Tiger Shroff's previous movie 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', released in April this year, also flopped, marking his second consecutive disaster.
