In a groundbreaking move, BharatPe, a leading Indian fintech company, has introduced the first-ever all-in-one payment device in India, designed to transform how merchants and customers engage in transactions. Named BharatPe One, this innovative device combines multiple functionalities including a Point of Sale (POS) terminal, a QR code display, and a tap-and-pay panel, all integrated with a built-in speaker to announce transactions.
Unlike conventional POS systems commonly seen in stores and banks, which do not feature QR code displays or speakers, BharatPe One offers a comprehensive solution. This device enables digital payments through QR codes and NFC (Near Field Communication) tap-and-pay technology, ensuring a seamless and efficient transaction experience for users. The speaker addition is particularly beneficial as it provides auditory confirmation of transactions, enhancing the user experience.
BharatPe has initially rolled out this device in 100 cities across India and plans to expand to 450 cities within the next six months. The device is not only aimed at improving the transaction experience for merchants but also offers consumers an easy-to-use and accessible payment method. During its pilot phase, the device received excellent feedback from the merchants who participated, indicating a promising future for this innovative payment solution.
