📍 New variant cases are gradually increasing in Kerala. Four died in Kerala and one in UP. The new variant JN.1 has been identified in 38 countries including India. With this, the Government of India has advised the states to take appropriate precautions. The central government has advised all the states to follow the guidelines prescribed by the World Health Organization. It directed to remain alert and keep vigil on new cases. It suggested that more number of RTPCR tests should be done.. Genome sequence tests should be conducted to find out the variant.
