Bangalore Brew Blues City Faces Beer Shortage Amid Water Crisis!

In an unusual turn of events, Bangalore, widely recognized for its booming IT sector and vibrant nightlife, is now grappling with a beer shortage, adding to the ongoing water scarcity woes. The demand for beer has surged notably in the city's pubs and breweries, leading to empty shelves and anxious patrons. The shortage is particularly acute on weekends when the demand spikes due to social gatherings and parties. In response, some shop owners are halting weekend promotions like 'Buy 2, Get 1 Free' to manage inventory more effectively. The supply issues are compounded by a significant increase in sales this year compared to the previous, with 30,000 liters sold so far, a stark rise from just 9,000 liters last year. Additionally, the scarcity of seasonal fruits like mangoes, which are used in crafting flavored beers, has further impacted sales. This shortage comes at a time when the city is also facing intense heat and ongoing IPL matches, further fueling the demand for refreshing beverages.
