Auspicious Time for Rakhi: Strengthen the Bond of Love 🌸

Raksha Bandhan, the festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, is approaching, and it's important to tie the Rakhi at the right time for maximum blessings. According to the Panchang, the most auspicious time to tie Rakhi this year is on Monday, August 19, from 1:26 PM to 6:25 PM. Tying Rakhi during this period is believed to bring prosperity, good fortune, and longevity to brothers. It also strengthens the unbreakable bond of love between siblings.

Offer the First Rakhi to the Deity

On Raksha Bandhan, the Rakhi holds special significance. It is recommended to place the Rakhi on the puja plate and offer the first one to the deity on this sacred day. After this, sisters should tie the Rakhi on their brother's wrist. This gesture is believed to invoke divine blessings upon the siblings. Additionally, sisters should perform aarti for their brothers, apply a tilak on their foreheads, and sprinkle rice grains before tying the Rakhi.

Enhancing the Sibling Bond

On the day of Raksha Bandhan, sisters are encouraged to light a lamp and perform aarti for their brothers. In Hindu tradition, a lamp symbolizes positivity and light, ensuring that the love between siblings remains strong throughout their lives. It is customary to offer sweets to brothers during Raksha Bandhan. Sisters should apply kumkum on their brother’s forehead, tie the Rakhi, and then feed them sweets. This tradition enhances the sweetness of the bond between brothers and sisters, ensuring it lasts a lifetime.

Raksha Bandhan is not just a ritual; it is a celebration of the deep love and affection that siblings share, making it a cherished festival in Indian culture.
