Andhra Pradesh Appoints Neerabh Kumar Prasad as New Chief Secretary

Andhra Pradesh has appointed senior IAS officer Neerabh Kumar Prasad as the new Chief Secretary (CS) of the state. Neerabh Kumar, belonging to the 1987 batch, has been serving as the Special Chief Secretary of the Environment, Forest, Science, and Technology Department. The government issued orders for his new appointment as the CS. The previous CS, K.S. Jawahar Reddy, has been transferred as he is currently on leave. Neerabh Kumar met TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu as a courtesy call following his appointment.

Chandrababu Naidu is set to take oath as the Chief Minister on June 12th, and several key changes are taking place ahead of the new government's formation. The CMO (Chief Minister's Office) is also seeing a reshuffle, with Muddada Ravichandra likely to be appointed as the Principal Secretary to the CM. Ravichandra has previously served in the Finance Department. There are also talks of including Sai Prasad in the CMO team. These appointments are expected to be finalized before the swearing-in ceremony.
