A 32-year-old engineer was arrested by Mumbai police on Tuesday for posting a bomb threat targeting the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant at Jio World Centre. The Mumbai Crime Branch swiftly acted on the post and apprehended the suspect, identified as Viral Shah from Vadodara, Gujarat, at his residence.
The threatening post read, "If a bomb explodes at Ambani’s wedding, half the world will be turned upside down. Trillion dollars in a single pin code." Although initially dismissed as a hoax, police took extensive security measures at the wedding event held at Bandra-Kurla Complex. Upon investigation, the social media user was traced to Vadodara and subsequently arrested. The suspect is being brought to Mumbai for further investigation.
