🚀 American space research organization NASA has discovered another miracle. It unveiled a silent-flying supersonic aircraft on Friday, aiming to usher in commercial supersonic travel.
NASA unveiled the experimental aircraft in collaboration with the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in Palmdale, California. The maximum speed of this aircraft is 1.4 times faster than sound. That is 1,488 kilometers per hour. The aircraft is preparing for take off later this year. It is the world's first silent supersonic aircraft. The slender X-59 nose is one-third of its overall length. This serves to deflect the shock waves that cause sonic booms. The overall length of the aircraft is 99.7 feet and the width is 29.5 feet. The forward-facing windows of conventional aircraft were removed to further improve the aircraft's supersonic performance. NASA said that it has been developed and prepared for take-off in a very short period of time. It said that with X-59, the journey itself will change. 🚀🔊
