🏛️ Former Congress Party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad's comments on Islam have sparked controversy. Azad said Hinduism is more ancient than Islam in India. Moreover, he made key comments that all those born in India are Hindus first. He said that Islam came to India only a few years ago, but Hinduism is the oldest. He said that among the Muslims who have settled here, there are some who came from foreign countries, and the rest are all Hindus who have converted to Islam. Azad said Islam has only existed for 1,500 years.
