Ali Quits YSRCP, Bids Goodbye to Politics 🚀

Famed actor Ali has resigned from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). He sent his resignation letter to party president Jagan Mohan Reddy. Ali joined YSRCP before the 2019 elections and campaigned across the state for the party. The party came to power in those elections, leading to widespread speculation that Ali would be awarded positions like a Rajya Sabha seat, MLC post, or Waqf Board Chairman. However, none of these positions materialized. In 2022, the AP government appointed him as the Electronic Media Advisor, a position he held for two years. Ali hoped for an MLA ticket in the 2024 elections, but when that didn't happen, he was notably absent during the election period. His resignation from YSRCP has sparked significant discussion.

In a recently released video message, Ali explained that his entry into politics in 1999 was influenced by Ramanaidu, who offered him a second innings in his film career. He joined TDP when Ramanaidu requested him to campaign during his tenure as an MP in Bapatla. After 20 years with TDP, Ali switched to YSRCP. He expressed gratitude to the Telugu film industry for his career, mentioning his work in over 1200 films in six languages over 45 years. Ali revealed that he entered politics with the intention of serving more effectively with political support. He clarified that he never criticized opposition leaders and praised those in his party. Ali announced that he will now stay away from politics.
