š Indigo has started adding fuel charge on the ticket price from 6th October 2023 due to rising cost of aviation turbine fuel on domestic and international routes. š¢ļø
The price of aviation turbine fuel has been increasing for the last three months in the country. āļø Fuel is the biggest cost of running any airline company. āļø So if the cost increases then the airline pays the cost by charging the fuel.
š° Fuel Charge from Rs.300 to Rs.1000: Meanwhile, this fuel charge is calculated according to the distance. āļø Those booking Indigo flights will have to pay sector fare depending on the sector travel distance. š« A charge of Rs.300 will be charged after traveling a distance of 500 km. šļø Also for 501-1000 km you have to pay extra Rs.400 on the ticket. šļø Rs.550 fuel charge for 1001 to 1500 km, Rs.650 for 1501 to 2500 km. 800 for 2501 to 3500 km. 1000 will be charged as fuel charge for journey above 3501 km. š Indigo Airline Company is going to increase the tourism prices of passengers during the festive season. šš«
