In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood actress Noor Malabika Das, 37, was found dead in her Mumbai apartment under suspicious circumstances. Neighbors reported a foul smell emanating from her flat, leading to the discovery of her decomposed body. The police suspect it to be a case of suicide, although no suicide note was found at the scene.
Noor Malabika Das, originally from Assam, previously worked as an air hostess for Qatar Airways before moving to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. She lived in an apartment in Lokhandwala, where the incident took place. The police broke open the door to her flat upon receiving the neighbors' complaints and found her body in a state of decomposition.
During the investigation, the police seized some medications and mobile phones from her apartment. Noor's elderly parents, who recently visited Mumbai, were informed about her demise but mentioned they were unable to come to collect her body. Consequently, her friend and actor Aloknath Pathak, with the help of an NGO, conducted her last rites.
Noor had recently appeared in the 2023 legal drama web series 'The Trial' alongside Kajol and had acted in several other web shows. The All Indian Cine Workers Association has called for a thorough investigation into her death, urging Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take action.
