Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren approached the Supreme Court challenging the ED's arrest in a money laundering case. The bench agreed to hear the petition filed by him on Friday. Senior lawyers for Soren told the Supreme Court that they are withdrawing the petition filed in the Jharkhand High Court. There are allegations that Hemant Soren was involved in a Rs 600 crore land scam and illegally moved money abroad.

Hemant ED has not come forward even once despite summoning him 7 times for questioning. So they themselves came and questioned. The ED interrogated Soren for about eight hours and arrested him.
