A Game-Changer for Apple Users

ChatGPT has been creating waves in the tech world lately. With all major companies leveraging this technology, Apple has now joined the bandwagon. Apple is set to bring ChatGPT to iPhones as part of a broad push to integrate AI features into its devices. Apple has signed a deal with OpenAI to include ChatGPT features in the next iPhone operating system, iOS 18. The agreement details are currently being finalized. Apple also considered licensing the Gemini chatbot from Google, but those talks did not result in a deal.

The upcoming AI features, set to be announced next month, will include ChatGPT integration. However, specifics on how these features and integrations will function remain unclear. OpenAI stated that iOS 18’s AI features will be powered (partially) by Apple data centers with Apple Silicon processors. Most of the AI functionalities will operate directly on the device, ensuring Apple's privacy and speed benefits.

Last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook mentioned that he personally uses ChatGPT and acknowledged the need to streamline several issues. Experts predict that the new AI features for Apple products will be thoughtfully integrated, reflecting the transformative power and potential of AI. Apple representatives also expressed their belief in the potential and promise of AI. With a focus on hardware, software, and service integration, Apple is set to announce iOS 18 and its new AI features at the WWDC, starting with a special event on June 10.
