It is known that the largest iPhone plant in India is located in Hosur. It was acquired by Tata Group company Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL).
Built on an area of 500 acres, the plant has provided employment to more than 15,000 workers with an investment of Rs.5,000 crore. Related sources said that this unit will be expanded in 12-18 months and another 10 to 12 thousand workers will be hired. Needless to say, along with the increase in employment, iPhone production in India will also increase manifold.
Today, Monday, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnab visited the country's largest iPhone plant, the Tata factory in Hosur. So far the working of the plant has been examined. Also, they focused on how long it will take to bring the iPhone to the Indian market.
It is known that the largest number of iPhones in the world is manufactured in China. However, iPhone production in China has been somewhat disrupted post-Covid. India has started efforts to capture that market. If the factory in Hosur starts working in full swing, iPhone production in India is expected to increase manifold and even capture the global market. 🌏📲
