85 percent seats in the medical colleges established in Telangana are for state students

The High Court on Monday made it clear that 85 per cent of the seats in the 34 medical colleges set up after the separate state of Telangana will be reserved for students of the state.

Andhra Pradesh students will get a chance in 15 percent of all India quota. JV 72, which was brought by the state government on 3rd July, was upheld by allotting seats to Telangana students in the colleges established after the bifurcation of the state. On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh students have filed more than 60 petitions challenging this JIO 72.
