The Central Government has announced the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The central government has recently released a gazette regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act, which has not yet come into effect despite having been approved by the Parliament in the past. The Center announced on this occasion that the Citizenship Amendment Act will come into force in India from today.The Citizenship Amendment Act was passed by Parliament on 11th December 2019. The then President Ram Nath Kovind also signed in this regard. However, due to strong opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act, the rules and procedures have not been formulated by the Center so far. The recent announcement that this CAA is being implemented has become a sensation.
