😲 In April, Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment witnessed an early morning firing incident, shaking the entire Bollywood industry. It was later revealed that the Bishnoi gang was behind the shooting. The gang had been plotting to kill Salman for eight months, keeping a close watch on his every move. They gathered details about Salman's Bandra house, Panvel farmhouse, Film City activities, and more.
The Bishnoi gang member, brought from Pakistan, planned to use AK-47, M16, and AK-92 rifles to execute the assassination. The shooters reportedly received ₹25 lakh as a contract to kill Salman. According to the Panvel City police chargesheet, the gang planned to murder Salman between August 2023 and April 2024.
Several members of the Bishnoi gang have been arrested, including Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahai alias Sandeep Bishnoi from Gujarat, Vaspie Mahmood Khan alias Wasim Chikna, Zeeshan Jakrul Hassan alias Javed Khan, and Deepal Hawa Singh Gogaliya from Uttar Pradesh. John Valmiki is also among the arrested.
The chargesheet filed in the Panvel Magistrate Court last month states that the accused formed a WhatsApp group to exchange messages about using sophisticated weapons to kill Salman. They discussed using weapons similar to those used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The investigation revealed that Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Amol Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, and 60 to 70 others were involved in this conspiracy. Another person on the WhatsApp video call was identified as Dogar from Pakistan. The gang planned to use a Turkish-made Zigana pistol, similar to the one used in the attack on Sidhu Moosewala in 2022, to assassinate Salman. The police have registered a case against 17 people, including Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi, related to the firing incident outside Salman's house. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in Sabarmati Jail, Ahmedabad.
