In view of the many cases of human deaths due to vicious dog attacks, the center has demanded a ban on the import, breeding and sale of many breeds of dogs such as Rottweiler, Pitbull, Terrier, Wolfdogs and Mastiffs. It states that they are ādangerous to human lifeā for pet dogs or other purposes.
In many parts of the country, people are getting seriously injured due to the attack of these dogs. In some cases lives are lost. Recently, a 17-month-old girl was hospitalized after being injured by a pit bull dog. Moreover, a 10-year-old girl was seriously injured when the owner provoked her to attack a child out of anger on her neighbour. In the background of various incidents increasing day by day, these dogs are posing a threat to human life.
